12/01/2010 09:42:52   Hits:183

Thermal Energy International, a leading provider of award-winning energy recovery, conservation and bio-energy solutions, is taking a principal role in helping the National Health Services become a leading low carbon organisation, by becoming a headline sponsor in its NHS Sustainable Development 2010 – One Future, Different Paths Conference and Exhibition.

At the One Future, Different Paths Conference, Thermal Energy International Sales & Marketing Director, Grant Bailey, will be giving a talk, alongside Dan Norris, MP, Under Secretary Of State for the Environment, to an audience of CEOs and Directors of NHS Trusts on how adopting innovative technology can not only reduce the NHS’s carbon footprint but also save on energy bills. In addition, TEI will also be exhibiting its wide range of Flu-Ace heat recovery solutions and the GEM Venturi orifice steam traps.

NHS largest public sector contributor to climate change

The NHS is the largest single estate in Europe, employing 5 per cent of the UK workforce, with a very large carbon footprint, producing more than 18 million tonnes of CO2 per year - 3.2 per cent of carbon emissions and 25 per cent of public sector emissions in England - the largest public sector contributor to climate change.

Both the conference and exhibition are being held at the Church House Conference Centre in Westminster on 3rd February 2010, as part of NHS Sustainable Development 2010 - One Future, Different Paths, whichwill identify the progress to date and define the challenges moving forward needed to create a sustainable NHS legacy for the future.

One Future, Different Paths headline sponsor

As a Headline Sponsor of the One Future, Different Paths Conference, Thermal Energy International branding will be included on all lanyards worn by delegates and event promotional literature. It will also be advertising in the delegate event guide and within pre and post event e-shots.

Commenting, Grant Bailey says, “Unfortunately, more energy is lost through steam wastage than through any other medium. Thermal Energy International has developed a range of products that provide significant financial and environmental benefits to customers. These benefits are already being enjoyed by many NHS Trusts throughout the UK”.
