The lubricants used in gas valves and oxygen fittings must be totally safe, have a long service life, and be environmentally friendly. Oxygen for a diver must be kept pure and natural gas is an essential part of our energy program in industry as well as in the private home.
Exotic mixtures of different gasses need lubricants that are compatible and do not contaminate the gas itself.
Some lubricants are designed to deal with special problems and wide variations in climatic conditions, in the use of natural and town gas as well as propane and butane gases, where gas valves are installed in building installations, gas distributing mains, and gas pipelines.
Oxygen valves and gas fittings must also have the added safety factor that there is no contamination of the gas from the lubricants, which might compromise the health and safety of the user, whether he or she is in hospital or working several meters underwater.
When installing and maintaining pipe-work and valves for oxygen and energy gases, we know you will benefit from using
OEM Lubricant 11 which is used in the lubrication and sealing of gas cocks for natural gas, town gas, propane and butane. It is resistant to all gases used in a household. DIN lubricant designation : DIN 3536-0-100G.
OEM Lubricant 12 which is used in rolling and sliding bearings exposed to extreme service conditions and providing excellent resistance to volatile hydrocarbon fuels as well as to car petrol. It is approved by the DVGW according to DIN 3536-20-120.
OEM Lubricant 18 that is a safety oxygen sliding agent for the lubrication of fittings and sealing elements in contact with oxygen, for breathing apparatus, scuba diving stations and diving equipment. Our oxygen compatible lubricants are BAM approved.
