Power Generation
Electrical Power Generation requires lubricants that will withstand high temperatures and be resistant to hot water, cold water and steam. In some areas, greases will also need to last the lifetime of the particular bearing.
Transformer oils must be inert, temperature stable, act as efficient insulators, and be environmentally friendly. For switchgear lubricants, similar properties are required, as well as being corrosion resistant and being capable of lifetime lubrication. Lubricants used in power generation must also prevent static discharges and arcing between electrical contacts.
OEM Lubricants Ltd has suppliers of special environmentally friendly lubricants for all areas of power generation and we know you will benefit from using
OEM Lubricant 15 which is both a high and low temperature grease with excellent lubricating properties that is efficient at high speeds in generators.
OEM Lubricant 104 which is an adhesive water resistant grease especially suited to bearings with a diameter of more than 300 mm, as used in environments where crushers, excavators, vibratory conveyors are working.
OEM Lubricant 16 which is fully synthetic, non toxic, and non combustible. It has a comparatively wide temperature range of -300C to +2600C and is used in electrical switchgear.
OEM Lubricant 105 is suitable for vacuum and oxygen installations, hydraulic equipment and for heat transfer in the high temperature range. These oils can also act as insulators in electric and electronic elements.
We have many other products, and we know we can provide you with the correct lubricant for your particular application in the power generation industry.
