Lubricants for Taps, Water Valves and Fittings
The type of lubricant used on taps, water valves and fittings needs to be carefully selected and approved.
You can relax in the knowledge that our lubricants are already being used by many manufacturers of taps
and valves. WRc (Water Research Council) approved.
All water valves, single lever mixers, double taps for hot and cold water, 'O' rings and ceramic
cartridges must use lubricants that are physiologically recognised as being efficient,
safe, odourless and tasteless.
Many of our lubricants are environmentally friendly and as they comply with USDA-H1, their
contact with foodstuffs is permissible. The WRc approval means that our grease and oil
lubricant can be used on any valve or tap application.
We know you can benefit from using any of the following special lubricants on taps, valves
and other water contact fittings.
OEM Lubricant 114 which is a fully synthetic grease and has WRc approval. This grease has
a temperature range of -50°C to +130°C and is resistant to steam and disinfectants.
OEM Lubricant 115 which is a highly viscous silicon oil approved by WRc for the
lubrication of cold and hot water fittings. It has excellent adhesive properties and a
service temperature range of -50°C to +250°C. WRc Approved product.
We have many other greases and oils and we know we can provide the correct lubricant
for your water taps, valves and fittings from the extensive OEM range.
