PTFE spray or Graphite spray

PTFE spray or Graphite spray

PTFE spray and Graphite spray

PTFE spray

PolyTetraFluoroEthylene or PTFE spray contains a tough translucent polymer which has high resistance to chemical action and has a low co-efficient of friction.

PTFE spray lubricants have characteristics that are especially suited to conditions experienced in the aerospace industries, as well as being popularly used in the food and pharmaceutical industries too.

OEM Lubricant 100A is a dry lubricant spray containing PTFE which has a whitish, nearly colourless appearance. It has a temperature range of -180°C to +260°C.

After spraying, OEM Lubricant 100A leaves a sliding film with a short drying time and is very resistant to high pressures, shows excellent adhesiveness, and is often used in 'lifetime lubrication' situations. PTFE spray is especially suited to the prevention of fretting corrosion and as a pre-treatment to improve the running-in of gears, camshafts and bearings. It is also suitable for dry lubrication in dusty atmospheres.

Graphite Spray

Graphite is a grey crystalline allotropic form of carbon and when presented as a graphite spray is an extremely efficient lubricant.

OEM Lubricants can supply a wide range of special lubricants and two examples of graphite sprays are

OEM Lubricant 152 which is black in colour, has a temperature range of -18°C to +450°C and is extremely resistant to water. This is a very pure graphite spray and is used for the treatment of sealing surfaces and the lubrication of sliding surfaces in dusty surroundings or where there is high exposure to water.

OEM Lubricant 153 which is a general purpose graphite spray oil used in all areas of industrial applications. It has a service temperature range of -30°C to +150°C.

PTFE spray and Graphite spray are only a part of the production program, and OEM Lubricants Ltd have many other Greases, Oils, Sprays and Pastes in their range, and will provide you with the correct lubricant for your particular application or process.
