Synthetic lubricants

Synthetic lubricants

Synthetic lubricants are a combination of synthetic base oil plus thickeners and additives that will give the grease or oil lubricant a number of performance advantages over conventional mineral based lubricants.

One of the major advantages of the synthetic lubricants made by OEM Lubricants Ltd is their ability to perform correctly in extreme or difficult environments. This can be the fact that a synthetic lubricant will have a good viscosity to temperature behaviour as well as being stable at high and low temperatures.

Synthetic lubricants also have very good chemical resistance which allows them to get used in critical applications such as nuclear, gas or other industries that require industry body approvals and very high specification lubricants. Have a look at Lubricants for the Nuclear Industry here.

The particular industries where our synthetic lubricants get used can be found by visiting our Industry pages where you will find your industry and an indication of the products that we are already supplying to companies like yours.
